<H Shrs>HSI Leaps 374 pts at Midday; Exporters, Shippers Vigorous; Techs Lead Rally

The HSI settled the midday up 374 points or 1.7% at 22,493. The HSCEI climbed 148 points or 1.8% to 8,224. The HSTECH hiked 166 points or 3.3% to 5,254. The total half-day turnover for the market reached $78.308 billion. With the mainland entering the Labor Day Golden Week holiday, southbound trading is suspended today and will resume next Tuesday (6th). Among exporters, TECHTRONIC IND (00669.HK) and SHENZHOU INTL (02313.HK) rose 2.4% and 3.1% respectively, while MAN WAH HLDGS (01999.HK) gained 3.6%. Home appliance stocks HISENSE HA (00921.HK), HAIER SMARTHOME (06690.HK), and MIDEA GROUP (00300.HK) advanced over 2%. Shipper COSCO SHIP HOLD (01919.HK) soared 5.1%, while OOIL (00316.HK) and PACIFIC BASIN (02343.HK) added 3.9% and 3% respectively. Photovoltaic stocks XINTE ENERGY (01799.HK) and XINYI SOLAR (00968.HK) swelled 2.9% and 2.3%. As for handset component stocks, SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK) ballooned 4.7%. AAC TECH (02018.HK), Q TECH (01478.HK), BYD ELECTRONIC (00285.HK), and COWELL (01415.HK) also inclined 2.9-3.6%. Several carmakers have released their monthly delivery figures. BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) and GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) grew 2%. XPENG-W (09868.HK) and LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK) mushroomed 7.3% and 5.8%. LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) hiked 4.4%. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) shot up 5.5%. Smart driving concept stock HORIZONROBOT-W (09660.HK) rocketed 6.9%. Other techs also trended upward. BABA-W (09988.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) ticked up 4.2% and 4%. TENCENT (00700.HK), JD-SW (09618.HK), and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) escalated 2.6-3.5%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), NTES-S (09999.HK), and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) gained 1.5-2.2%. SMIC (00981.HK) was also up 1.2%. In addition, KINGSOFT (03888.HK) spiked 6.9%. GDS-SW (09698.HK), KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK), and XD INC (02400.HK) rose 4.6-5.3%. SENSETIME-W (00020.HK), NETEASE MUSIC (09899.HK), KINGSOFT CLOUD (03896.HK), WEIMOB INC (02013.HK), and JD HEALTH (06618.HK) climbed 3.5-4%.
